Train to Gain

Eligibility Criteria: Must be 19+, Cannot hold a Level 2 or equivalent qualification, must have a contract of employment, must work at least 16 hours per week
Course Duration: Dependent on customer, end date decided on first visit with assessor

Course / Provision Overview:

The programme has been designed by the Government to provide NVQ training and qualifications to customers within employment working at least 16 hours per week.
Qualifications can be gained in:

  • IT,
  • Customer Service,
  • Business Administration,
  • Retail,
  • Team Leading,
  • Warehouse and Storage,
  • Contact Centre,
  • Information Advice and Guidance,
  • Adult Numeracy and
  • Adult Literacy

The qualification can be completed through either a paper-based folder or through our online qualification system with full support from the Assessor asigned to the individual.
The entire qualification is planned with involvement of the customer, the employer and the assessor so that all people know exactly what is to be completed to achieve the qualification. The assessor will visit every 3 weeks to carry out a 1-2 hour assessment visit with room for training if required to help further develop the skills of the individual in-line with the company needs.
