Course / Provision Overview:
A 13 week full time training programme which customers are usually referred to towards the end of their Gateway Period. Attendance is for 30 hours per week unless personal circumstances may have been 'action planned' by their New Deal Personal Advisor. An in depth initial assessment will usually take place prior to participants starting the programme at which point customers will be given their actual start date. Training will consist of customers having the opportunity to partake in various modules and training sessions, these will include CV development, Formal letter writing techniques, interview skills, jobsearching styles, application forms as well as other team focused and motivational exercises. IAP Training is occupationally specific to customers choosen areas of work, with this in mind the programmes aims to find participants a suitable work placement enabling them to gain new and update any existing skills they possess. Work placements are usually 26 hours per week with 4 hours in-house supported job search.
