Course / Provision Overview:
The Flexible Routeways provision is funded by the European Social Fund. Consisting of 6 different pathways the general aim of the provision to remove barriers that are preventing customers from entering into sustainable employment. This a very individually tailored programme which can also involve the customer gaining accredited qualifications that will enhance their level of employability within certain sectors of the market. Once a referral has been made the customer will be booked on for an initial assessment. This part of the process will take approximately one hour and will be completed by a Caseworker. The assessment will be carried out at either the customers respective Jobcentre Plus office or at our PeopleServe offices. All opportunities will provide training that will be focussed on developing employability skills covering soft skills such as attitude/motivation, communication, team building, IT skills, diversity and goal setting. Jobsearch skills also include CV development, application techniques, interview skills, work ethics and time management. Staff will work holistically across the six pathways to overcome barriers to accessing and sustaining training and employment. The pathways include - Employment Training, Pre-Vocational ESOL Training, Intensive Job Focused Support, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Barriers, Alcohol and Drug Dependency and Offender Support.
