Course / Provision Overview:
Entry 2 Employment is a government funded programme that is aimed at helping to support people between 16-18 years old into sustainable employment or further education. The programme is run by qualified tutors who provide soft skills, qualifications, individual support, counselling and work experience.
Customers attend centre for 4 days a week building up to 5 days when confidence has grown. While on programme the customer can claim EMA and up to £15 a week to help with travel costs.
customers will work towards various qualifications that are matched with their needs and progression goals which can range from Key Skill qualifications to NVQs at Level 1 with full training and support throughout. The customer also has to attend a work placement to give them real life experience in trying out different types of industry to see which best suits them.
At the end of the programme the customer should have achieved potentially their first ever qualification and also built their confidence and interpersonnel skills to help them find employment or support them into further education.
