Jesica Lindgren (formerly Seacor) is Vice President of International Operations for ResCare International. She has 20 years of experience with US multinational companies and international organizations, including 8 years working in Europe.
Prior to joining ResCare, Jesica was Deputy Director, Washington Office of the International Labor Organization (ILO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, since 2005. She was responsible for legal and political relations with the US Government, World Bank Group, think tanks, and universities. Jesica worked for the ILO at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland from 1997-99 and 2001-04 on legal and publishing matters before being seconded to The World Bank’s External and United Nations Affairs, from 2004-05 in Washington, DC.
In addition to international organizations, Jesica began her legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Washington, DC. In 1995, she became in-house counsel to International Thomson Publishing in New York before joining the ILO in 1997. In 1999, she assisted in-house and external counsel for Autodesk, a major US software company, handling matters in Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Geneva. She then joined DataZen, a US telecommunications consultancy in London, as Business Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Jesica earned a B.A. in American Studies from Georgetown University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of International Law and Policy. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, where she was a founding member of Giving Circle, a venture philanthropy organization that supports charities offering education, health care, and training programs in developing countries. Her most recent publication was “Learning on the Job” for The Economist / Intelligent Life, Summer 2005.
